About the Fortune Hills golf course:
No avid golfer can come to The Bahamas without playing Fortune Hills Golf and Country Club.
This Championship 9-hole course was designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee and was built in 1971. Sweeping views from
this elevated course will leave you breathless. This course is considered by many to be the perfect centerpiece
of an elegant golf and country club community setting.
For an island course Fortune Hills is fairly lengthy course boasting the longest par-5 in
The Bahamas. Even though there are only 9 holes, different tee placements create distinctively different shots
for 18 holes. For the non-golfers there is a lush clubhouse to spend time in. Meet your group here after
playing an amazing round. However, some people will skip the golf and retire right to the bar and restaurant.
No matter how badly you fared on your game, all your troubles will soon be forgotten when you realize you are
still in The Bahamas. Relax on the beach, or visit one of the many local spas. Spend some time snorkeling or
rent a boat and go exploring. It doesn’t matter what you do, the local hospitality and luxuries encountered
everywhere will ensure you will have a great time, on and off the course.
Stay a week or a month, you will never tire of the island lifestyle you encounter on your next Bahamas golf
vacation.
